Cancer Freeze 2017
Cancer Freeze 2017 is set for this Saturday February 4th at Lake Jackson in Florala. The day is filled with fun events for the whole family. The day will begin bright and early at 7:00am with a Fishing Tournament sponsored by Sporting Lifestyles of Andalusia. If fishing is not your forte, no worries from 7am-10am you can bring your appetite to the Pancake & Sausage breakfast (Adults $5, Kids 10 and under eat free with a paying adult). LifeSouth will be having a blood/platelet drive from 8:00am-3:00pm. After you’ve finished your yummy breakfast you can head over to the amphitheater where former Voice contestant will be singing the National anthem followed by the 5k run/walk. You can register for the 5k online or in person the day of. At 9:00am Tiny B’s bake sale will be in full swing as well as all sorts of inflatables will also be open to the children. These are just the morning activities; I will leave a full schedule below for more details. Cancer Freeze is a wonderful cause that helps uses its funds to benefit a person from South Alabama or Northwest Florida. This non-profit organization helps people who are experiencing some of the worst days of their life. I am proud to be a part of a community where we can come together in times of need. FEB. 4TH SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
7am-Noon -Fishing Tourney.
8am-3pm -LifeSouth blood/platelet drive
9am - 5k starts
9am-3pm - Inflatables for the kids provided by Spacewalk of Andalusia
10am - TJ’S TIGER FLIGHT balloon release….$3 each or 2 for $5…release every hour on the hour with church bells.
10am - Car Show located on 4th Street
10:30am -Shave Your Lid for a Kid…$10 per person
11am - Chili Cook-Off…vote with your spare change
11am-1pm - Carriage rides provided by High Horse Farm, LLC.
12 noon - Caleb will ski to kick off water events.
