In an article from Andalusia Star-News dated February 24, 2015, Andalusia Regional Hospital had been ranked No 1, according  to Dr. Mark Griffin, medical director of the ER at Andalusia Regional Hospital.  The designation is based upon how quickly patients get in and out of the emergency room, core measures based on national standards & patient satisfaction scores.

The staff's goal was to get the patients back to see physicians quickly, not to let them sit in the waiting room.  They are exceeding the goal of 114 minutes of getting patients in & out of the ER by an average of 109 minutes per patient.

In 2014, accordingly they saw 19,500 patients, an increase of 4,000 over the previous year.

We need to give hats off to the Emergency Room at Andalusia Hospital for the great ranking.
